In the final Ligue 1 match of the September international break, Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi made his debut. In the 66th minute, he came on against Stade de Reims to win 2-0. This was his first official match 19 days after signing with Paris Saint-Germain on Aug. 10.
The Argentine star started all three matches against Argentina during the international break. However, the match against Brazil did not reach 10 minutes before it was stopped by Brazilian officials for quarantine violations. Messi also scored a hat-trick against Bolivia, but he was unable to play against Clermont Foot.
Messi’s next match will be in the UEFA Champions League against his new club. It will take place on Wednesday September 15th on the road against Club Brugge.
Messi made his debut for PSG before the break. He played a unremarkable 24 minute stint in place of Neymar.
